We have read many stories about the plagues that happen in different countries because of different cruel reasons. Many countries suffered a lot because of plagues.
Here, we are going to discuss 10 Plagues of Egypt that really happens and scientist also has approved those plagues now. The 10 plagues of Egypt let Moses leading the Israelites out of slavery. We will explore everything related to these plagues and some theories that will help you to understand them. Every spring Jewish people memorialize Passover a holiday when Jewish left Egypt for Israelis according to the Torah (the Old Testament of the bible).
According to the Torah (Taurat), Moses needed the Pharaoh’s permission to free the Jewish who were slaves in the land of Egypt before Moses led the 40-year journey through the desert. As we read in Torah Pharoah has prompted the Lord to send down the 10 Egypt plagues until the Pharaoh has his mind but he had a hard hurt.
The point is that if the plagues could have occurred by themselves or some natural phenomenon. Here, we are going to discuss this point with the help of science.
This is the first plague that happens in Egypt. In this plague, Moses struck the river Nile with his staff, turning its water to red, and at the same time, Moses’ brother Aaron performed an identical transformation in the canals, ponds, tributaries, pools throughout Egypt. When the water of the river had turned red, all the fishes started getting dead and the whole river became stank so that the Egyptians could not drink water. All these are reported in the bible chapter 7, verse 21.
The water of the river suddenly started to bloom, maybe this could have been the cause by the red algae bloom that happens when certain conditions enable a type of microscopic red algae to reproduce in such great numbers that the water in which they are living will be stained to a bloody red.
All this phenomenon is known as “red tide” when it occurs in the ocean and the red algae are also very well-represented in freshwater ecosystems. These red algae in the water can be harmful to wildlife.
Thinking about the red water for the whole nation is very strange. What can be more strange than this? But the 2nd Plague was more strange and horrible than this plague.
In the second plague, the rain of frogs can be seen because it is reported multiple times in history. Here, I am sharing a report with you. A report published on July 12, 1873, in Scientific American described a shower of frogs in Egypt, it darkened the air and covered the ground thoroughly. It was a quite horrifying plague that happened in its time but Pharoah still has not stopped.
The third Plague that happened and was reported was the lice attack. In this plague, a strange phenomenon occurred. According to the research that we have read, Lord said to Moses, stretch out your rod and strike to the dust of the land so the dust of the land turns into lice. All the land of Egypt then turned into lice and these lice attacked the men and beast.
Pharaoh was not stopped, he continued his oppressors. Then Lord said to Moses “to rise up early in the morning and stand before pharaoh when he comes out from the water and say to him. Thus says the Lord: let my people go so they serve me or else if you will not let my people free, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you, your servants, your people, and your houses. Egyptians houses will be full of swarms of flies and also the ground on which they stand. And in the day I will set apart the land of Goshen where my people dwell so that no swarms of flies shall be there so that you may know that I am the lord of that land.
Plagues of livestock
Lord says to Moses, go to Pharaoh and say to him. Thus says Lord God the Hebrews: Let my people go so they could serve me if you refused to let them free and still hold them, behold, the hand of the Lord will be on your cattle that are in the field, on the horses, on the donkey, on the oxen, on the camel, and on the sheep a very acute pestilence. Lord will make a difference between the livestock of Egypt and Israel.
Lord said to Moses and Aaron, take handfuls of ashes from a furnace for yourselves, and let Moses scattered it toward the heaven in the sight of
Pharaoh. It will become fine dust in Egypt in all land, and it will cause boils that will break out in sores on man and beasts in the whole land of Egypt.
The Lord said to Moses to stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, on the beast, and on every herb of the field in the entire land of Egypt. Then Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven and the Lord sent thunder of hail and darted to the ground.
Moses said to Pharaoh if you still refused to let my people go, then behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your territory. They shall cover the face of the earth so that no one will be able to see the earth and they will eat the residue of what id left, which remain to you from the hail, and they shall eat every tree which grows up for you out of the field.
Lord said to Moses to stretch out his hand toward heaven so that they may be darkness over the land of Egypt, Darkness that may even be felt. And that Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven and there was a thick darkness in the entire land of Egypt for three days.
In this Last plague, Moses said, thus the Lord says, about midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt and all the firstborn of Egypt shall die. The firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even the firstborn of his female servant who is behind the handmill, and all the firstborn of animals die.
Then there shall be a great cry in all the land of Egypt, such as was not like it before nor shall be like it again. As the lord has made a difference between Egypt and Israel so nothing happens in Israel.
